Field guide
Where Chicago Real Estate Investors Actually Meet in 2026
If you want to learn real estate investing in Chicago, the fastest education is in the room. Here is a field guide to the active investor groups, what each one is known for, and how to find the next meeting.

Why the room still matters
Deals, lenders, contractors, and partners still come from relationships, and in Chicago those relationships are built at recurring investor meetups. The groups below run on regular cadences. Because individual dates move, we describe what each group is and link you to its page so you can confirm the next meeting yourself.
The active groups to know
Here are established Chicago-area groups, each with a track record and a public schedule:
- Chicago REIA, billed as the largest real estate investor association in Chicagoland, with multiple free meetings a month, including general, virtual, and a women's network. (group page)
- Chicago Creative Investors Association (CCIA), a National REIA chapter active since 1984, with monthly online meetings and periodic full-day workshops, tied to the Illinois Rental Property Owners Association. (ccia-info.com)
- Chicago Area Real Estate Investors Association (CAREIA), a not-for-profit National REIA affiliate with roughly monthly general meetings, networking nights, and a short-term-rental subgroup. (careia.org)
- Straight Up Chicago Investor, investor networking tied to the podcast of the same name, with recurring free events on the North Side. (event page)
- Windy City REI, a Meetup-based investor group with recurring listed events. (meetup page)

How to choose where to start
If you are brand new, a large free monthly meeting like Chicago REIA or CCIA is a low-risk way to learn the vocabulary and meet people. If you already invest, smaller networking nights and topic-specific subgroups tend to produce more direct deal conversations. Most groups welcome newcomers, and many meetings are free.
A word of caution that applies to any investing group: education is valuable, but be careful with high-priced coaching or guru upsells. The best rooms are the ones where working investors actually do deals, not just sell courses.
How we work with investors
We are active in this same community. If you are an investor with a property under contract, we partner on joint ventures and contract acquisitions, and we are open to the right investment partnerships. If you are an owner who wants to market a property, we also offer a property marketing package.
